Miss Anne’s Pre-K Newsletter for June 3

A Preschool Goodbye

Sticky fingers, runny noses.

Head, shoulders, knees and toe-es.

Shapes and colors, ABC’s,

taking turns and 123’s.

Toothless smiles, hugs and giggles,

Circle Time and lots of wiggles.

Wooden blocks and dress-up clothes,

and learning how a flower grows.

Milk and cookies, first-time friend,

thinking days like this won’t end.

Preschool done before you know it,

no one sadder, than this poet.

Like a butterfly, time has flown.

You have learned and you have grown.

Tiny chairs turn into desks,

book reports and spelling tests.

So take off now and spread your wings,

soar to new heights, learn new things.

Just remember as you do

Red Robin is so proud of you!

Dear Pre-K Families,

I truly cannot believe this is my last newsletter to all of you.  Writing these newsletters and doing Zoom with your children has been my highlight these last few months.  I know it could never take the place of your children being in Miss Anne’s classroom – but we did our best!

Now your children are leaving the Red Robin “nest”.  For some of the children in the class – I have known them since they were infants.  Some of the children I know since they were in the Toddler class or Nursery.  Then there are a few that were new to Red Robin.  The amazing thing about children is how they blend together almost immediately.  They were a wonderful, caring and connected class.  Each child has grown in their own unique way.

Your children are ready to move on to their next chapter.  I wish your children much success in Kindergarten and in the future.

Personally, I think I will always remember the Pre-K class of 2020.  The year of Zoom lessons, as well as quite a different graduation.  Our school parade to salute your children was a huge success!!!  Thank you to all of you!!!

Just because your children are moving on doesn’t mean you are ever forgotten.  We invite your children to come back and read to our classes or just visit and show us how much they’ve grown.

All of you have my e-mail address and cell number.  Please feel free to reach out anytime to say hello or need to discuss anything.

Thank you for allowing all of us at Red Robin to be a part of your child’s life.

“They’re on their way.”

Have a wonderful safe, healthy and happy summer!

XOXO

Miss Sheryl

CHOOSE RED ROBIN WITH CONFIDENCE

Of course, parents should trust their own experience and instincts when choosing a school or camp. However, the critical decision about with whom to entrust your child should also be based on the program’s license, accreditations, and commitment to safety. Red Robin holds many such distinctions. They are a source of pride for us and can be a source of confidence for you.

Red Robin elects to maintain its accreditation with the American Camp Association (ACA).  This commitment requires Red Robin to adhere to many stringent standards and inspections, which help parents select camps that meet industry-accepted and government-recognized regulations.

In addition, our school is licensed by New York State.

We are also chartered by the New York State Education Department-Board of Regents.

We are permitted to operate by the Nassau County Health Department.

Red Robin is a peanut and tree nut free facility, one of many safeguards implemented to protect our students and campers.
