Miss Lori’s 5/7/2021 Red Robin Preschool Newsletter

This week we have been focused on the letter “Yy”.  Some of the children made a “Yakkity Yak” puppet while some children made a”Yak” for their Alphabet Book.  We have been going over all of the many “Yy” pictures such as; yoga, yellow, yawn and yogurt.  During lesson time, we have been playing a letter sound game for review.  Each child comes up and holds my pointer while I say a word such as “alligator”.  Then the child must touch the letter that they hear in the beginning of the word or the end of the word.  All of the children really love this challenging game.  It is a terrific way to review the letters and their sounds!

Your child is coming home with a very special surprise for our wonderful MOMS!  Please remind your son or daughter to take it out of their backpack, but don’t open it until Sunday!  Your child is so excited to give your present to you!

We continue to talk about the Human Body.  All of the children have had their body traced.  Some of your children were extremely ticklish as we traced them!  Next week we will begin putting together their Human Body as we continue to read books and learn about ways to keep our body healthy.  Please send in a few small pictures of healthy food your child likes to eat in an envelope or a Ziploc bag with their name on it for their body.  Thank you!

Wishing all of our amazing, supportive, terrific MOMS a very HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!

Enjoy your weekend with your children!!!

Warmly,

Miss Lori and Miss Kristine

CHOOSE RED ROBIN WITH CONFIDENCE

Of course, parents should trust their own experience and instincts when choosing a school or camp. However, the critical decision about with whom to entrust your child should also be based on the program’s license, accreditations, and commitment to safety. Red Robin holds many such distinctions. They are a source of pride for us and can be a source of confidence for you.

Red Robin elects to maintain its accreditation with the American Camp Association (ACA).  This commitment requires Red Robin to adhere to many stringent standards and inspections, which help parents select camps that meet industry-accepted and government-recognized regulations.

In addition, our school is licensed by New York State.

We are also chartered by the New York State Education Department-Board of Regents.

We are permitted to operate by the Nassau County Health Department.

Red Robin is a peanut and tree nut free facility, one of many safeguards implemented to protect our students and campers.
