Miss Lori’s 5/14/2021 Red Robin Preschool Newsletter
We hope all of our “MOMS” enjoyed a very special Mother’s Day! Our class took turns sharing stories of how they each spent their Mother’s Day with their Mom. Each of the children were so proud of their present and worked so hard!
Believe it or not, we have finished the alphabet!!! This year just flew by. Some of the children made a “Zany Zebra” for their Alphabet Book, while some children made a “Ziggy Zebra” puppet. Each day we will continue to review the letters of the alphabet. We will play many types of games and letter sound games. I will be sending home the Alphabet Book at the end of the year. The “All About Me” books that some of your children have made will also come home at the end of the year.
Our class continues to learn about the “Human Body”. All of the children had to paint their body according to their skin color. Our class knows that although we may look different on the outside, we all have the same organs, veins, arteries, bones and muscles on the inside. After running around on the playground or after having relay races the children are fascinated when they feel their heart beating so quickly. The children also realize that they are breathing heavier and taking in more oxygen as they become more physical.
Speaking of physical, we have been enjoying the outdoors very much. Our class has learned how to play “Duck, Duck, Goose” and “What Time is it Mr. Shark?” We have also been having relay races with our class divided into two teams. Some of the races have been walking like a crab. Slithering like a snake flying like a plane and twirling like a ballerina! We have been enjoying the treehouse every day as well – we just love being outdoors!
We have checked the forecast for next week – and it looks like really nice planting weather. We are going to take turns with the Toddler class and dig and fill Red Robin’s planters with beautiful flowers. We will be taking care of them for the rest of the school year! We are very excited!
Wishing all of our families a wonderful weekend!
Warmly,
Miss Lori and Miss Kristine
