Miss Debbie’s Newsletter for 12-10-20
Dear Families,
We hope everyone is well and safe! It truly is incredible to witness the changes we have seen in your children since September. Their friendships are developing and peer play is being exhibited in the kitchen and picnic table area, as well as floor play with cars, trucks and blocks. They have wonderful imaginations and are learning the process of sharing items as well as ideas.
Brrrrrrr!!! The cold didn’t stop us – we are still playing outside!!! Please send in labeled gloves and hats.
Our letter this week was the letter “Jj.” We loved being frogs for the letter “Ff”, so we decided to “jump” like frogs during circle time. We decorated our classroom jumbo “Jj” with jems. It is beautiful!!! We used dot markers to turn paper plates into jellyfish! We also made jellyfish out of our handprints for our Alphabet Book. We had a special treat for snack on Wednesday. We made Jell-o! Boy was it yummy!!!
We are still busy preparing for the holidays. They are approaching quickly!!! We will continue to decorate our room and soon the decorations will be coming home to you for your holidays! The children are so excited for our Holiday Party, (more info to follow), potato pancakes (latkes) and a special visit from Santa.
On Monday we will KICK off our week with the letter “Kk!” We can’t wait to show you our projects!!!
We hope everyone has a jolly and joyous weekend! To our families that celebrate Chanukah – we wish you a beautiful holiday!
Warmly,
Miss Debbie and Miss Sam
