Miss Debbie’s Newsletter for 11-5-20
Dear Families,
The fun and frivolity still continued as we learned all about the letter “Ff”. Every morning during Circle Time we acted like FROGS!!! Did you hear the “RIBBITS?” We decorated our classroom “Ff” with feathers. Guess what we did next? We got our paints and colored a plate orange. We made the plates into “foxes”. We gave them big googly eyes. They are really cute! Miss Debbie and Miss Sam painted our hands green this week and we turned them into frogs for our Alphabet Book!!!
We participated in Election Day this week. We learned that it is very important to vote!!! We listened to the book Duck for President by Doreen Cronin, and learned that being the President is hard work. We got to vote and express our opinion on Tuesday, just like our Moms and Dads! It was a lot of fun. Our big debate was on who we liked more – Elmo or Cookie Monster! It was pretty close. Elmo won 5-3. We celebrated Elmo’s victory by singing and dancing to Elmo songs.
Since it is a new month we are working on a new color – RED, a new number – 3 and a new shape – Rectangle. We will do a lot of talking about Thanksgiving in the coming weeks. We can’t believe it’s almost here!!!
Next week we will be closed on Wednesday, November 11th for Veteran’s Day. We will talk about the brave men and women who have fought for our country to keep us safe.
We are so happy that the weather is still being cooperative and we go outside everyday! Reminder: Please send in a warmer set of clothes to keep in school. If you have done so already, thank you.
Next week we will move on to the letter “Gg”. It’s going to be a great week!
*** Please send back your conference requests. (See attached form.) Thank You.
It’s going to be a gorgeous weekend!
Have a grand time!!!
Warmly,
Miss Debbie and Miss Sam
