Miss Debbie’s Newsletter for 11-12-20
Dear Families,
Hope everyone is well. The weeks are just flying by!!! We can’t believe that Thanksgiving is less than two weeks away!!!
If your children are starting to “talk turkey”, it is because we are learning some fun holiday songs.
This week we worked on getting to know the letter “Gg” better. We used “GOLD” and “GREEN” glitter to decorate our classroom “G”. What do you think of our “Gigantic Gumball Machines?” They are so colorful and look so real we wish we could take one and start blowing bubbles!
On Monday and Tuesday we talked about Veteran’s Day. We talked about the brave men and women who keep us safe. We read a book about Veteran’s Day and then made really cool flags with “our own hands” to show our support and gratefulness. We hope everyone had a nice day with family in the middle of the week!
Our Alphabet Book is growing, we added a goat for the letter “Gg” this week.
***We like to get our families involved in some of our activities, so we are sending home a “family feather” to decorate together. Please send it back next week so your children can show off all of your creativity. It’s an opportunity for you to see how your children are doing with their fine motor abilities while having fun!
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, Wednesday, November 25th will be our Holiday Feast. Attached to this newsletter you will find a list of items that are needed to make our class feast a success. Please place your name on the item you would like to send in and send back next week. Thank you in advance for helping us with this meaningful and festive event. Reminder – All items must be store bought-no homemade or home baked items please. We apologize for the inconvenience, but due to the current health advisories we cannot have anything but store bought items.
Next week we will start learning all about the letter “Hh”. It’s a perfect time to start getting ready for the “Holiday Season”.
Have a Happy and Healthy weekend!
Warmly,
Miss Debbie and Miss Sam
