Miss Debbie’s 12/17/2021 Red Robin Preschool Newsletter
Dear Families,
The excitement is in the air! Your children are having so much fun with all our holiday songs, activities and projects!
We didn’t forget about our letter of the week. During lesson we learned all about “Kk”. We decorated our King-sized “Kk” with lots of Hersey kisses!!! We colored them all different colors. Did you know “Kk” is for kite? We went outside during the week and Mr. Michael helped us fly a beautiful colored kite with rainbow colors for the tail. We chased the kite in the field. The children had so much fun outside with the real kite we decided to make our own inside! We used all kind of pretty colored tissue paper. The last project we did for “Kk” was to make kittens using our hands for our Alphabet Books.
We are really, really busy getting ready for the holidays!!! It is like Santa’s workshop in our classroom! We made Christmas trees. They are so colorful and sparkly! At music time we singing fun song about Christmas; “Five Candy Canes”, “Jingle Bell Opposites”, Santa is His Name O”, “The Lights on the Christmas Tree”, “Christmas Freeze” and the “Reindeer Pokey”. They love to sing and perform! All of these can be found on whatever music app you use. The songs are from “Kids Songs for Christmas” by The Kiboomers. Have fun!!!!
Next week is a short week! So we will not move on to a new letter. We will review all the letters, numbers, colors and shapes we have learned so far.
Speaking of next week, our “Holiday Party” will be next Thursday! It happens to coincide with a visit from a “very special merry visitor”! Please feel free to send in treats for the class that are store-bought and peanut and tree nut free. Please read the ingredients to make sure they are not made in a factory that processes with nuts. Thank you in advance for your generosity and in making our party a huge success.
We would like to take a moment and once again thank you all for entrusting your children into our care. They are an amazing group of children. It is truly a gift for us to be with them every day.
From our families to all of yours we wish you a joyous and beautiful holiday season, and a Happy and Healthy New Year filled with hope, love, health and positivity for 2022!
Warmly,
Miss Debbie
