Miss Debbie’s 5/14/2021 Red Robin Preschool Newsletter
Dear Families,
Oh! My goodness! It’s “Z end of the alphabet!” The letter “Zz” was a zany letter. We had a lot of fun this week. First we colored a whole bunch of “Zebras” for our classroom “Zz”. Of course we turned our hands into zebras as well!
We think we might have saved the best alphabet project for last…how cute are our “Hippo’s in the Zoo”?
All year our class has worked on sharing with friends. What’s better than sharing your favorite books with the whole class!!! So far we have listened to four wonderful books. Abraham brought in Brown Bear, Brown Bear. It was fun because Abraham not only read us the story but he got to move all the animals in the book! C.J. brought in her favorite Elmo book. We all know C.J. loves Elmo! Isla was very excited to share her book too, it was The Cat in the Hat. We loved seeing all the silly fun (and mess) the Cat had in the house. Joey had a great time sharing his book. It was entitled Giraffes Can’t Dance. Please make sure to check your Daily Sheet to make sure you don’t miss a turn for your child’s “Book Share”. (We can always reschedule if you forget.) The class is really enjoying all the stories and the children are so proud of their books.
We think next week is the week! We have been watching the weather…it looks like it’s going to cooperate.
We are going to start our planting project. On Friday we went outside and prepped all the planters to get ready for Monday. We are going to turn all of Red Robin’s planters into colorful floral masterpieces!!!
In the coming weeks we will be reviewing all we have learned in school this year – as well as lots of outdoor fun!
Tomorrow, Saturday May 15th, we are having another socially distanced, mask wearing Open House. If you love Red Robin and know anyone who is looking for camp this summer or school in September, please tell them with our thanks!
Have a fantastic SPRING weekend!
Warmly,
Miss Debbie and Miss Sam
P.S. As the weather is getting warmer, it might be a good time to exchange the spare clothing you sent in for your child in the winter, for lighter ones. As you send it in to us we will send back the heavier clothing. Thank you!
