Miss Debbie’s 2/5/2021 Red Robin Preschool Newsletter
Dear Families,
Even though this week was a short week, we packed it full of fun activities!!! We missed the excitement of Groundhog Day – but we still finished our project while talking about this furry friend who helps predict a short or long winter!!! We thought our groundhogs were rather cute. This week we started off learning about the letter “Pp”. “Pp” is quite a popular letter, especially because we came to school in our pajamas on Thursday! Miss Sheryl made us yummy pancakes and read the book Mortimer by Robert Munsch. It is about a little boy who doesn’t like to go to sleep.
On Friday we had our official Super Bowl party. We played all kinds of “football” games and warmed up to “Eye of the Tiger” to get ready for the sporting events. We then had Salsa and Tostitos just like a real Super Bowl party!!!
We will continue to learn more about the letter “Pp” next week, as well as projects and adding to our Alphabet Books.
Next Friday, February 12th, we will have our Valentine’s Day party. Please feel free to send in a peanut and tree nut free snack for the class. Please remember lollipops are not allowed in school.
***Red Robin Country Day School will be open next Friday, February 12th. There was a mistake on the school calendar. Our winter break is from Monday, February 15-Friday, February 19th. School will reopen on Monday, February 22nd.
Everyone have a pleasant weekend!
Hope your team wins!
Warmly,
Miss Debbie and Miss Sam
