Miss Debbie’s 2/18/22 Red Robin Preschool Newsletter

Dear Families,

Boy! Oh Boy! There is plenty to do when we are learning about the letter “Pp”!  Along with getting to know more about “Pp” we are getting ready for the upcoming holidays.  We also have some exciting news we have a new friend that has joined our class.  Her name is Zara.   Everyone welcomed her in with open arms it was really nice to watch them show her our routines and include her in our daily activities.

We started off the week with our Valentine’s Day celebration.  Thank you everyone for their generous contributions it made for a very sweet day.   We decorated our classroom “Pp” with “Paw Patrol” we used brown and blue crayons.   We also made pancakes out of paper plates.   Although they look good enough to eat-they are pretend pancakes.   We made pigs out of our handprints for our Alphabet Book.  We had pancakes for a snack on Wednesday for pajama day.   We all looked so cute in our pjs.

Your children are familiar with the word president from our lessons about election.   We talked about and read books about two famous Presidents as well as what Presidents do.   In honor of President’s Day, we made a project that two very famous presidents on it, George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.  We sponge painted white stars on blue paper and then glued on both presidents!  Do those colors seem familiar?  They are the colors of our flag!

Next week is Winter Recess.  We will miss everyone when we are off.   Our recess is from Monday, February 21st – Friday, February 25th.  We will see you back in school on Monday, February 28th.   We will be introducing the letter “Qq”.

Reminder that we will have a testing site set up here at Red Robin on Sunday, February 27th 11:00am – 1:00pm.  This will make it easier for everyone to provide a negative “PCR” to return to school on Monday.   If you have any questions refer to Michael’s recent emails.

Warmly,

Miss Debbie

CHOOSE RED ROBIN WITH CONFIDENCE

Of course, parents should trust their own experience and instincts when choosing a school or camp. However, the critical decision about with whom to entrust your child should also be based on the program’s license, accreditations, and commitment to safety. Red Robin holds many such distinctions. They are a source of pride for us and can be a source of confidence for you.

Red Robin elects to maintain its accreditation with the American Camp Association (ACA).  This commitment requires Red Robin to adhere to many stringent standards and inspections, which help parents select camps that meet industry-accepted and government-recognized regulations.

In addition, our school is licensed by New York State.

We are also chartered by the New York State Education Department-Board of Regents.

We are permitted to operate by the Nassau County Health Department.

Red Robin is a peanut and tree nut free facility, one of many safeguards implemented to protect our students and campers.
