Dear Families,

Oh!  My goodness!  The days are moving fast!!!   We have been really busy working on our Thanksgiving projects.  Have you heard us singing any of turkey songs?  Did you take out the song sheet and sing?   Do you have a favorite?  Thank you all for your beautiful feathers if you take a peak you might be able to see “Terry the Turkey” in our window.   We had so much fun creating him together.

We started off the week talking about the letter “Ii”.  For our big classroom “Ii” we colored Iguanas with a green crayon and then glued them on.  We also made ice cream cones in a special way.  We used shaving cream and glue with food coloring and even used REAL sprinkles!!!  They looked so yummy that we decided to make our own delicious ice cream.  It was really fun!  We used ice, salt, cream, vanilla and Ziploc bags.  The children were amazed to see that they created their very own delicious ice cream and got to eat it!!!  I attached the recipe if you want to try it at home.

I really enjoyed speaking to everyone during their Parent Teacher conferences.  I want you to know if we don’t have a conference we are all about communication and you can always contact me with anything.  We are going to be busy little elves the next few weeks.

Next week we will not be moving on to the letter “Jj”.   We will be focusing on Thanksgiving and getting ready for our feast on Wednesday.   If you haven’t already, please send back your sheet on what you will be sending in for the feast.

***Reminder – Please remember that even though it is getting colder – we will go out to play in the fresh air!  Please make sure the children have coats and hats.  If you haven’t sent in a warm change of clothes, please do so as soon as you can.

Wishing you a JOYOUS holiday season!

We are so happy to share the excitement with your children.

                              Have an incredible weekend!

Of course, parents should trust their own experience and instincts when choosing a school or camp. However, the critical decision about with whom to entrust your child should also be based on the program’s license, accreditations, and commitment to safety. Red Robin holds many such distinctions. They are a source of pride for us and can be a source of confidence for you.

Red Robin elects to maintain its accreditation with the American Camp Association (ACA).  This commitment requires Red Robin to adhere to many stringent standards and inspections, which help parents select camps that meet industry-accepted and government-recognized regulations.

In addition, our school is licensed by New York State.

We are also chartered by the New York State Education Department-Board of Regents.

We are permitted to operate by the Nassau County Health Department.

Red Robin is a peanut and tree nut free facility, one of many safeguards implemented to protect our students and campers.
