Miss Debbie and Miss Jen’s November 10, 2022 Red Robin Preschool Newsletter

Dear Families,

We know that everyone is getting busy as the holiday season approaches – and there is no exception in our classroom!!!   We started our week concentrating on the letter “Hh”.  We love learning new letters and we really put our “hearts” into this one.  We decorated our “HUMONGUS” classroom “Hh” full of hearts!!!  We all got to pick a crayon and colored the hearts.   We also decided that “Hh” would be a good time to talk about our homes and who we live with.  We used a “HUGE” letter “H” as our house and then we put a triangle (our shape of the month) on as our roof!  We then used squares and rectangles as windows and we put the names of the people in our family.    It was fun for all of us to find out who lives in everyone’s house.

We also learned about Veteran’s Day and we created a project using our hands to create the American flag.   We had so much fun painting with our hands!!!

“Hh” also reminds us that a special holiday is near.  We are learning all about Thanksgiving through books, singing and dancing.  It’s such a joyous holiday because everyone we know will sit down to a holiday dinner.  We hope we can bring some laughter and entertainment to your meal.   We have attached our songs that we are learning.   Maybe you can have a family sing along!  If you have Apple Music or some other musical app you can find the music to all these songs: “Thanksgiving Songs for Preschool and Kindergarten”, by the Kidboomers.  “Who’s that Walking Down the Street?  – IS not on there but it’s a cute poem to act out – the children love it!  “Hello Mr. Turkey” is on “Holiday Piggyback Songs” by A Kimbo Children’s Music.   ENJOY!!!  We expect to see lots of family videos sent our way!

Thank you to all of our families for helping us put feathers on our classroom turkey – “Terry” You were all very creative.   We hope you had fun and enjoyed seeing pictures of him on Facebook.   If you take a peek at our window next week you might be able to catch a glimpse of him.

Next week we will be learning about the letter “Ii” can’t wait to show you all the “Interesting” things we will create.

Hope everyone enjoys the long weekend.

Warmly,

Miss Debbie and Miss Jen

CHOOSE RED ROBIN WITH CONFIDENCE

Of course, parents should trust their own experience and instincts when choosing a school or camp. However, the critical decision about with whom to entrust your child should also be based on the program’s license, accreditations, and commitment to safety. Red Robin holds many such distinctions. They are a source of pride for us and can be a source of confidence for you.

Red Robin elects to maintain its accreditation with the American Camp Association (ACA).  This commitment requires Red Robin to adhere to many stringent standards and inspections, which help parents select camps that meet industry-accepted and government-recognized regulations.

In addition, our school is licensed by New York State.

We are also chartered by the New York State Education Department-Board of Regents.

We are permitted to operate by the Nassau County Health Department.

Red Robin is a peanut and tree nut free facility, one of many safeguards implemented to protect our students and campers.
