Miss Anne’s Pre-K Newsletter for April 29
Dear Pre-K Families,
Hoping this letter finds everyone healthy and safe.
Your children were amazing on Monday’s Zoom lesson!!! It not only was a lesson about coloring and letter recognition-but a lesson in following directions and waiting for peers to finish so they could move on. Plus-it was done virtually! Their fine-motor skills have truly come so far! Their pictures came out beautiful. Great job!
You can see how much the children miss each other. It’s very cute to hear and see the “Hello’s”.
In today’s invitation to Zoom that I sent you yesterday, I spoke about “Zoom Star of the Day”.
Going forward at every Zoom session we will have a “STAR” student. At the end of this newsletter I will have a schedule. Every child will have a chance for their special moment. The family can get together with your child and create a “Zoom Star Poster” of your child. Your child can draw a picture of themselves. Then add the following on the poster: favorite food, favorite sport, their family, what they want to be when they grow up, what makes them laugh, favorite character, favorite color, favorite book.
Get creative! Have fun! It’s probably a good rainy day project for the next couple of days. No pressure. Use anything you have around the house. See the date for your child at the end of this letter. Any questions, please don’t hesitate to text me. You might want to collect certain items around the house and draw others, or print out pictures to glue on the poster. It can be as simple or as involved as your child wants it to be!!! If you can’t do it on a specific day please let me know.
Please text me pictures of your children and family so that they can be included in our school montage that we will send out to all of the families. We are accepting pictures for this montage until Friday. Thank you!
See you all on Zoom!
I am always available to talk or text.
XOXO

- Your children love to share what they have been painting, coloring or showing us something special in their home. I think that is really more important at this time. I would rather Zoom make the children feel secure and heard and special. To know we are all still here together albeit apart.
Happy Earth Day! I think it is even more significant today. We need to take care of ourselves and our planet! Hopefully the pages we used at our Zoom lesson will instill in the children how we can start at home.
Thank you once again for all your support, communication and feedback in these last few weeks.
Again, as always we are here for you.
Hopefully, April showers will make way for May flowers and seeing you all gain soon.
Take care, be safe
and
healthy!
XOXO
