Dear Red Robin Families,
I hope everyone had a lovely holiday weekend, although unusual-hopefully memorable.
There will be so many times
you feel like you’ve failed.
But in the EYES, HEART and MIND
of your child,
you are SUPER MOM and DAD.
***I am so excited to see everyone tomorrow for our “Moving Up/Graduation Car Parade”, Thursday, May 28th @ 11:00am at Cantiague Elementary School at 678 Cantiague Rock Road in Jericho. The raindate is Friday, May 29th same time and place. So get your cars all dressed up for the occasion!!! We can’t wait to celebrate with all of you!!!
We would like to thank Jericho School District for allowing us to have our festivities and enable us to give our children a special day at one of their schools.
***Just a reminder, in the next few weeks please call our office, e-mail or text to make an appointment to pick up any extra clothes you may have at our school.
Although the ending to our school year is one I have never experienced in 45 years of teaching (and never want to witness ever again) I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to all of you for allowing me the privilege of working with all of your children, getting to know and love them as well as their families. From moms and dads, grandmas and grandpas, sisters and brothers and to all the new babies that have joined the Red Robin family- I thank you from the bottom of my heart. As I have said when I started writing these letters to you at the beginning of this Pandemic journey, your children are the reason I get up each morning with a smile on my face. I am lucky to go to work each day and not consider it a job. There is nothing like a child’s smile or giggle that truly makes everything ok.
A Letter to Your Children
Dear Class of 2020,
You might not be a high school senior, but this was a big year for you. We know how much you were looking forward to our Westbury Manor celebration, spending the last few months with your friends, finishing your last few weeks as a Toddler, Nursery or Pre-K student, and all the extra fun things that were planned for you!
For many parents, you were looking forward to seeing our end of the year celebration and the crossover from 2’s to 3’s, 3’s to 4’s and Pre-K to Kindergartener.
For many parents it may be their first child, and for some it may be their last child to leave the new beginnings and enter into their new chapter.
We want you to know that no matter what, we are always proud and we are hopeful that you can still experience these wonderful memories in your own special way.
On Thursday, we will do our best to honor you and your children.
Please always remember- Red Robin Country Day School and its staff is always here for you. We all look forward to seeing all of you!
