April 9, 2020 Red Robin School Greetings & Inspiration from Miss Sheryl
Dear Red Robin Families,
This week gave way to some days with warmer weather and sunshine. A positive feeling comes along with those “rays” of hope. I hope you are sensing that as well. With the practice of “social distancing” uppermost in our minds, I hope you have stepped outside to feel some of that warmth.
I know you are all extremely busy at home. I thought that maybe we could put together a “montage” of all of our families at home. Photos can bring us all together. So, if possible while you are doing homework, playing a game, dressing up, cuddling on the couch, cooking or baking together or just having a family meal. Capture those moments and send them to the Red Robin e-mail address. We will attempt to put it all together so that the Red Robin Family can see and enjoy each other during this difficult time.
I know I am all about quotes the last few newsletters, but when something resonates with me I want to share it.
“Cease from travel,
Cease from buying and selling.
Give up, just for now,
on trying to make the world different than it is.
Sing. Pray. Touch those to whom you commit your life.
Center down.
And when your body has become still,
reach out with your heart.
Know that we are connected
in ways that are terrifying and beautiful.
(You could hardly deny that now.)
Know that our lives
are in one another’s hands.
(Surely, that has come clear.)
Do not reach out your hands.
Reach out your heart.
Reach out your words.
Reach out all the tendrils
of compassion that move, invisibly,
where we cannot touch.
Promise this world your love-
for better or for worse,
in sickness and in health,
so long as we all shall live.”

I know with Spring Holidays approaching, it is hard to imagine not be surrounded by family and friends. Consider virtual holiday tables, make some new traditions and please celebrate the joy of being together near and far. We will all be together again. These holidays are all about rebirth and new beginnings. They have definitely arrived at the right time in our lives.
With that being said, from my family to yours –
-I wish you all a wonderful and peaceful holiday. Hoping everyone remains healthy and safe.
Extra XOXOXO’s
Miss Sheryl
