To our Terrific Toddler Families,

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!  We especially hope our mother’s and grandmother’s had a well-deserved wonderful Mother’s Day.  What did you think of your beautiful cake plates?  We think your Mother’s Day desserts probably tasted especially delicious on those plates!!!  We hope you’ll use them every Mother’s Day as reminder of their Toddler year at Red Robin.  We’re wondering if any of the children sang their special song to you???  We are also thinking about whether you had any surprises for breakfast on Sunday??? We had conversations about “breakfast in bed.”  The children’s menus consisted of chicken with broccoli, bagels, waffles, cheerios, oatmeal, coffee, tea, orange juice, spaghetti, ice cream and grilled cheese.  We talked about making cards and picking flowers to be served with breakfast.  It was so much fun to plan with your children. They were very excited and thought it was a very silly thing to do but wanted to try it.  Let us know if any of you dined in bed, please!

Mother’s Day seems to have brought back the nice weather so we are looking forward to a week of outdoor play.  Our caterpillars should be arriving, too!  As of last Friday we could still use 5-7 milk or juice cartons and we will be able to start making our planters.  Maybe we will have enough as our Monday children arrive in school thank you again for all the donations.

Arriba! Arriba!  Cinco de Mayo was a big hit in our classroom!!!  I bet you could hear the Latin Music at your places of employment or at home.  Your children were greeted by Latin fever music and all of us in our sombreros!  Tostitos and salsa were enjoyed by all at snack time!!!  During music time Miss Enedina led the children in a Conga line!!!  With instruments in hand and smiles on their faces our fiesta continued!!!  We hope you caught the video on Facebook as well as some Senor and Senorita still pictures. (LOL)

Carmine and Anaisa were our Rainbow Catchers on Thursday!  They did an awesome job!  Cydni and Aldo completed our week on Friday and were incredible as well.  The children truly are so excited to share all their special things from home.  I am so glad that I have been able to participate in their excitement.  More Rainbow Catchers to come-can’t wait!!!

Our “End of the Year Show” initial letter with information went home last week.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.  It will be adorable.  All are welcome; Siblings, Grandparents, Nannies, etc.  There is enough seating for all.

Again, if you need anything, I am reachable at school from 7:00am-4:00pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.  On Tuesday and Thursday from 7:45am-6:00pm.  If you need to talk in the evening just leave me a message and I will gladly call you then from my home.

We’re excited for another great week!

Can’t believe it’s the second week in May!

Love,

Miss Sheryl
