December 5, 2016

Dear Families,

We are in full holiday mode. Stockings, candy canes, Santas, trees, menorahs, dreidels, and kinaras are filling our room. Soon we will soon be tasting potato latkes (pancakes) and having our Red Robin Holiday party. Details will follow next week. Please let us know what holiday(s) your family celebrates and if you would like to share a special holiday tradition or book with us.

We are continuing to learn our colors, shapes, numbers, and alphabet. In addition to reading holiday books, we are reading books related to our letter of the week. This week we will be reading Harry the Dirty Dog, No Roses for Harry and Hop on Pop for the letter “Hh”.

Winter is set to begin on December 21st, although it’s hard to believe it with the temperature being so warm over the last few weeks. If you are going to layer your child’s clothing for the colder weather, we ask that you use an undershirt or t-shirt instead of a onesie under their regular shirt. Since all of our children are not toilet trained; we want to change them as quickly as possible so that they can enjoy our many activities, books, and songs. If you have not sent in two sets of warmer clothing for your child, please do so as soon as possible. Thank you.

Looking forward to another great week,

Miss Louise, Miss Alexa & Miss Enedina
