Dear Families,
Did you get to build a snowman?
We hope everyone had some fun in the snow this weekend. Since we read lots of stories about being outside in the snow; the children were looking forward to making snowmen and snow angels, sledding, and having snowball fights.
We have been busy preparing for this week’s Parent-Teacher Conferences. If you have not already called Miss Desi to schedule a meeting on the evening of the 27th, please do so as soon as possible. If that date is not convenient, or you would prefer a phone conference, she can make arrangements for that as well.
The children have been doing a wonderful job of recognizing their name cards without their picture attached. We are reinforcing our letter recognition skills by spelling everyone’s name aloud together and spelling our weather and color words. As you read with your child, you can reinforce letter concepts by either asking your child to “point/show me the letter _____” or by pointing to a letter and asking him/her “What letter is this?” Remember, children recognize upper case letters before lower case letters and don’t always realize at this age that the upper case and lower case letters represent the same thing.
Looking forward to a wonderful week,
Miss Louise, Miss Enedina, Miss Jade, & Mr. Joe
